It’s Giving Tuesday! The Shenango River Watchers are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to conserve and protect the Shenango River watershed, and provide educational and recreational opportunities focused on the Shenango River. Your donations help us to maintain the Shenango River Water Trail so you can paddle/float unimpeded from Pymatuning Dam to Shenango Lake; to maintain the Shenango Trail, a historic hiking trail from Big Bend to Kidds Mill; to provide environmental education days to local elementary students; to conduct classes in fly fishing, kayaking, and other recreational skills; and to conduct clean-ups to keep our waterway healthy and beautiful. What can your donation do? $10 recycles 5 tires, keeping them out of the river. $25 provides lumber and hardware for bridge repair on the Shenango Trail. $50 helps pay our lumberjack to remove a fallen “strainer” tree from the channel of the Shenango River Water Trail. $100 pays for sample analysis in one of our water research projects.
